This is the first of several video updates covering some of the active trade ideas on the site. The following Active Short Trades, many of which are or will be offering objective new entries or add-ons to an existing position, are discussed in the following order: FB, SOCL, GMCR, GS, GTAT, HLF, HOV. In reviewing the Active Short Trades category, the following trades will be removed: FCH- Exceeded the 5.50 suggested stop level shortly after it was suggested in the last video update on Jan 23rd. For anyone still in this trade, I think that the odds are still good for at least T1 to be hit soon but I'm trying to move out some of the less attractive trades ideas on the site to make room for some new trade ideas so FCH will be moved to the Completed Trades Category. although they didn't have any shares of FB available for me to short on the day it started trading (may 18th) they did have some SOCL (social media etf) come available shortly after FB started trading, which i took advantage of (i first posted they were not available right after FB started trading and then posted that they were available once again shortly thereafter). this etf doesn't have a lot of trading history to chart and i'm watching it closely here as it approaches what little support that can be inferred from its relatively brief chart history. i would not advise [...]
just an fyi- i mentioned below that IB (Interactive Brokers) did not have any shares of the social media stock etf, SOCL, available to short but that was only briefly following when FB started trading. as i mentioned, IB has about the best availability of issues available to short amongst all the brokers and they also have a very convenient feature available on their TWS trading platform. you can add a "Shortable" field to the screen which is color coded to show the availability, or lack-thereof, of shares of stock available for shorting. for example, two of the stocks on my [...]
