Member @drummonddrive pointed out some recent movement in some of the shipping stocks. As many of the stocks within the shipping sector have the potential for explosive gains if/when the momentum traders begin to engage the sector, I've covered some of my favorite setups in the sector at this time along with buy triggers & price targets. The following stocks are covered (although not in this order): KEX, SFL, TGP, GLOG, GMLP, GOGL, TOO, SSW, FRO, STNG, SALT, DHT, EGLE, TNK, TNP, NMM, NAT & SEA. playback speed can be increased to reduce video duration
Member @sau987 had asked for an update on the shipping sector & as I had recently pointed out the fact that many of the shippers looked to be setting up in bullish chart formations, I've since become somewhat lukewarm to the shipping sector for the following reasons. Since that previous video with some of my favorite setups was posted here on Sept 8th, the very next day the broad market triggered the long-awaited sell signals that I was looking with QQQ impulsive taking out the 116.00 support level & SPY impulsively slicing through the key 215.30 support level. While QQQ has [...]
In this video, the charts of my favorite trade setups in the shipping sector are covered in detail. While I plan to add some of these as official trade ideas, with some recently mentioned as unofficial trade ideas in the trading room this week, there are just too many attractive trade setups to add them all. As such, I've outlined the idea entry criteria & price targets on most of these charts for those interested. In additional to the potential for well-above average & quite possibly, explosive capital gains on many of these setups, quite a few of these trade ideas [...]
This video covers the charts of some of my favorite trade ideas in the shipping sector. As these trades are extremely aggressive coupled with the fact that I like to take a "shotgun" approach by taking small lots scattered among different shipping stocks within the sector in order to diversify, these are only unofficial trade ideas. Although the key support & resistance levels, as well as entry & exit (target) criteria are discussed for most of these stocks, unofficial trade ideas different from the official trade ideas on the site in several aspects including the fact that these trades may or [...]
This is what the risk-on trade looks like (my shipping stock watchlist as posted on Friday), the day after highlighting these "King of All Risk-on Trades" as Long Trade Ideas: Shipping stock watchlist March 4th Followed by a current snapshot of the same watchlist, after highlighting the same stocks as short-candidates yesterday for the coming (and now clearly arrived) Risk-off Trade: Shipping stock watchlist March 8th
Many of the shipping stocks that were posted as long trade ideas in the trading room on Thursday have already ripped up 50-200% or more in just a couple of trading session & are now at or approaching key resistance/target levels which could offer a quick pullback trade. Some of my favorites, along with possible reversal points & pullback targets, are discussed in this video. note: Although the ticker symbols for the stocks discussed in this video will appear in under the Short Trade Setups category, these stock are only unofficial trade ideas, without official price targets or suggested stops.
... That what I always tell my kids when coaching Little League. I try to incorporate that advice into my trading but there's typically a limit to how many stocks one can successfully follow at one time before you get the proverbial "sand slipping through your fingers" from trying to hold too much. Either way, I did share the pattern and my thoughts on the previous post regarding EGLE and the stock has now gained 70% since that post exactly 2 weeks and 1 day ago today...wow. As you can see from the notes on that previous chart, EGLE did [...]
