In addition to some several industry leading & market-moving companies reporting earnings this week, we also have a slew of potential market-moving economic reports scheduled to be released this week as well, particularly on Thursday, with Durable Goods Orders & Jobless Claims coming out at 8:30am ET followed by GDP on Friday at 8:30am ET.

We’re also likely to see some volatility in the energy sector this week with the EIA Petroleum Status Report tomorrow at 10:30 am followed by the two largest energy companies, XOM & CVX, reporting earnings before the market opens on Friday.
So far we’ve had a mixed bag of results from the market-leading FANG/FAAMG stocks that have reported with NFLX trading down about 10% below where it closed before reporting Monday of last week, MSFT (Microsoft) trading up about 4% from where it closed before reporting earnings last Thursday & GOOG/GOOGL (Alphabet Inc) trading up nearly 4% today after reporting after the close yesterday. We still have TXN (Texas Instruments) on reporting today after the market close (AMC), FB (Facebook) on Wednesday AMC, both AMZN (Amazon) and INTC (Intel) on Thursday AMC followed by XOM & CVX reporting before the market opens on Friday.
