Here are a few companies reporting earnings after the bell today that either have the potential to move the broad market tomorrow and/or might present a potential trading opportunity: AMD (Advance Micro Devices): One of the recent high-flying semiconductor & GPU manufacturers, currently poised to break above or below a triangle/consolidation pattern on the daily chart below. AMD daily July 25th X (US Steel): Parked at the bottom of a triple-gap resistance + downtrend line resistance. Any upside gap tomorrow would trigger a breakout above these intersecting resistance levels with the top of the most recent gap around 27.70 [...]
As a follow-up to the recent update on the SOXX / SOXS Active Short Trade, highlighting the objective short entry or add-on to that position as SOXX is currently backtesting the recently broken primary uptrend line from below, here's a few leading semiconductors stocks that help to support my case that the semiconductors are most likely poised for a substantial correction in the coming months. There's still a bit of work to be done to confirm breakdowns on SMH & SOXX although XSD gave up the ghost (so far) today with an impulsive breakdown below its bearish rising wedge pattern: XSD daily March 21st I believe there is enough evidence in the charts today to add any of the semiconductor sector ETFs as official short trade & I may do so as soon as I get the time to annotate the charts, identify price targets, stops, etc.. so short away if you are so inclined or wait for the official trade entry to be [...]
