As one of the largest sectors in the S&P 500, where the energy sector goes in 2013 will have a significant impact on how the overall stock market performs. As shown on some of the recent static charts, this key sector appears to be at an important technical juncture. This video covers the charts of the energy sector as well as some of it’s key components and a few attractive trade/investment candidates including the XLE (energy etf). Regarding the sector as a whole, I do my best to present both the near-term and longer-term bullish and bearish scenarios. Also covered are the following individual stocks, some which are setting up in bullish patterns and might prove to be lucrative swing trade or investment candidates in 2013 while some others might provide objective short entries in the near future. For those wishing to skip forward during the video, the sectors and stocks are discussed in this order: MG120 (Energy Sector), WNR, PWE, WFT, XLE, XOM, CVX, & SLB.
