As I’m now able to focus my efforts on the long overdue process of cleaning up the Trade Ideas category, I am doing so in phases starting with Short Trade Ideas (Setups and Active Trades). I did a once-over of all the charts and placed one of three symbols next to each trade; “OK” means those trades still look objective and will be left on as Active Trades for now, to be updated asap. A “?” means that I need to study the charts in more detail before deciding to leave the trade or setup listed on the site as it may still be offering an attractive R/R, even if a suggested stop or profit target has already been hit. Finally, the trades below I had marked with an “X” meaning that they now longer offer an attractive R/R and will be removed from the Active Trades category and into the Completed Trades category. In order for accountability and tracking purposes, all Active Trades on the site will be posted when moved to the Completed Trades category where all associated posts for those trades will be archived indefinitely. I find this a useful tool as the track record and all previous notes and charts on any particular stock or etf can be easily referenced via the Post By Symbol drop-down box in the sidebar on the right-hand side of the home page.
The bulk of the Active Short trades fell in the “?” category and many of those will likely be removed soon as well but again, I plan to do a more thorough analysis of each individual chart before making those changes. The following is a list of all trades that will be removed from the Active Short Trades category. Some of these trades have already hit a profit target, many did not but all have either exceeded their suggested stop level(s) and/or no longer look attractive as short trades: CBL, CMCSA, IYR, MA, MCC, OSTK, PRAA, SHW, V, WFM. As soon as I finish updating the existing trade ideas, both setups and active trades, I will focus my efforts on adding back some new trade ideas.
