fyi- i’m just returning from some appointments this morning and i’ll also be out tomorrow morning until about lunch-time (noonish, EST).
i wanted to share two new improvements available when viewing chart images. the first is a zoom feature. once you click on a chart to expand, it will open in an “auto re-size”, as before, which re-sizes the image to fit your specific monitor size. if you wish to enlarge the image further, you can now use the scroll wheel on your mouse. i highly recommend a mouse with a scroll wheel if you do not already own one. on laptops, you can zoom in or out of the expanded chart via the scroll feature on most touch-pads (sliding your finger up and down the very right-hand edge of the touch-pad). the scroll feature will work anytime the cursor is in the middle 1/3rd of an expanded chart. remember, once you move the cursor to the left or right side of the chart, the cursor changes to an arrow, indicating that you can click anywhere on that side to the chart to advance to the previous or next image.
i have tested this feature in internet explorer, firefox, chrome and safari browsers and it seems to work fine in all of them. as always, if you experience any problems with the site or have any suggestions for improvement, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
you can also use the new drag & drop feature to view a chart image in the full (original) size. simply drag and drop any chart into a new window or tab on your browser. this can be done with either the small “thumbnail” size image that you see imbedded within the posts or with the expanded “auto re-sized” image. to drag it, just click and drag the image (while holding down your left mouse button) and release it in the tab for the new window (usually the tab furthest to the right with the “+” sign). the chart should then open in the full (original) size for optimal viewing.
