i did some updating (re-categorizing) of the trade ideas on the site today and will continue to do so tonight and over the next couple of days.  there were quite of few active and even some completed trades that were still inadvertently showing up in the Trade Set-ups category, which i have sinced moved out and there are still quite a few trades in the Active Trades Category that have hit final targets, such as TXN, which hit T3 (final target) for a 18.3% gain on friday.

i currently have my programmer working on several improvements to the site, once of which will be the ability to sort the symbol lists at the top of each trade category alphabetically by symbol (the current method) or by chronological order, starting with the most recently updated posts.  this should be a useful feature for the part-timers who only visit the site on an infrequent basis and quickly want to catch-up on any trade related posts since their last visit.  i won’t post the string of all the TXN posts on this current trade since we were able to trade it both long and short since this first chart below all the way back in january, making the potential cumulative gain on this trade, had one played both sides of the trade as it bounce between resistance and T1, much higher than the 18% swing short gain.  one other thing to note, as i mentioned before, i only calculate the gains for tracking purposes from the posted entry point to the target level(s).  e.g.- TXN fell considerably below T3 on friday but i only use the T3 price level (27.87) for the gain calculation.  i made a post a while back explaining my methodology for calculating performance data which you can view by clicking here.

also note that due to the sheer amount of trade ideas posted on the site over the last few months, i am enlisting the help of an excel wiz to help automated the performance tracking spreadsheet that i built back in january.  the performance of the trades on this site since inception have been nothing short of spectacular, with the vast major of trades hitting on or more pre-defined targets vs. a relatively small percentage being stopped out (or still active).  hopefully, i will be able to complete that spreadsheet and roll out those performance statistics in the next few weeks.
