fyi- i did a little cleaning up of the trade idea categories, moving several old set-up trade ideas to either the active trades or completed trades category. to summarize; any trade idea may be assigned to one or more trade categories at any one point in time. for example, if a trade has recently broken out of a pattern but still has plenty of room to run before the most likely target is hit, it might be listed as both an active trade, since it has already broken out of the pattern, as well as a set-up, since it still might offer an objective entry. likewise, some trades might also have hit the first target and if the pattern still looks to offer a good R/R profile for an entry, maybe on a small pullback to re-test or consolidate around the first target while building the energy to make a thrust to the next target, then that trade might be included in all three categories (set-up, active and completed… as some short-term traders may have opted to book the quick profits at T1).
among other improvements to the site that i am working on, i plan to have a more streamlined page showing all of the stocks in each of the three trade idea categories (set-ups, active and completed) at a quick glance in addition to the current format in which all trades in each category are listed in reverse chronological order of when they were posted. my goal is to have a page for each category that lists each symbol in alphabetical order whereby you can click on that symbol to bring up all posts and charts on that symbol in order as they were posted.
as always, i welcome any feedback, comments or suggestions on how to improve the site. just click on the “Contact” link under “Site Info” on the right hand side-bar column of the page. also, feel free to share or re-post any of the charts or commentary that you think others might find useful. to save a chart for future reference or to re-post in another blog, just click on the thumbnail image of the chart to expand it to full size, then right-click anywhere on the chart and choose “save image as”. this will allow you to save the chart to your computer. a quicker way to share a chart or the post with chart and commentary is to click on the title of that post (in bold fonts, next to the date/calendar icon at the top of the post). this will open a page with only that post in a separate window. then go to your browser’s address bar at the top of your screen, click once on the address to highlight it, and then right-click and choose “copy”. you can then go to where-ever you’d like to paste the link to that specific post (another blog, an e-mail to a friend, etc..) and right-click then choose “paste” to insert the link. again, just shoot me an e-mail if you have any questions and i will be glad to send more specific instructions.
