Our Policies & Terms
Terms and Conditions
RightSideOfTheChart.com, aka Right Side Of The Chart, Right Side Of The Chart LLC and RSOTC, herein referred to as RSOTC, is a securities trading & investing website open to anyone in the community who wants to participate. In order to make sure that we provide a welcoming atmosphere to our registered users, we require that all users who submit words and images to the site abide by the following terms and conditions.
All membership plans are billed automatically. Right Side Of The Chart provides you with the ability to cancel any future renewals of your membership at any time. Upon cancellation, you will continue to have full access to the site for the remainder of your current membership term. Full or pro-rated refunds are not provided upon the cancellation of your recurring billing period.
Do Not Plagiarize: RSOTC encourages original writing and chart screenshots as well as sharing other commentary, articles, analysis, charts, etc. that others might find useful. Do not submit others’ work as your own. Please attribute all information you get from other sources, including people, television, websites, blogs, or traditional publications.
Respect Copyrights: If you want to tell others about an article found elsewhere on the web, please provide a link rather than copying and pasting the entire article. You may not republish someone else’s copyrighted material on RSOTC without permission of the copyright holder.
You are free to share any public content, including charts, commentary, excerpts, and links to any public (free) content on RSOTC as long as the source of the content (from Right Side Of The Chart) is credited. Crediting the source of the content is not required when posting links to RSOTC. Removing or obscuring the RightSideOfTheChart.com watermark from any shared charts is strictly prohibited.
Disclosures: If you have a personal or business relationship with any of the companies discussed in an article, chart or analysis in which you are sharing, please mention it so readers will know. Additionally, if you are an employee or affiliated with a company or a large shareholder with a 5% or greater stake in a company in which you post information on, please disclose that information as to avoid any conflict of interest. RSOTC is not responsible for verifying such information.
Be respectful to others: An important purpose of RSOTC is to provide all users with a forum for information-sharing, discussion, and debate in a respectful and friendly atmosphere. Personal attacks and mean-spirited postings discourage and ultimately kill useful communication. Submissions that appear to be primarily for the purpose of defamation, libel, or maligning and impugning others may be deleted. RSOTC is concerned with building a community for traders and investors. Community is built on goodwill, respect, and trust. RSOTC reserves the right to delete any derogatory, inflammatory, or otherwise inappropriate post or comments made at our discretion.
Disagreement need not be synonymous with anger, bitterness, loathing, intolerance or other non-productive negativity. Discussion is encouraged; fighting is not. Violations of these terms will result in suspension or revocation of registration and access to the member forum and comments section of RSOTC, with or without warning, at the sole discretion of RSOTC. As part of the registration process, you must use an e-mail address that you check and we can contact you through, should we need to reach you in order to highlight a violation of these terms and/or suspension or revocation of your registration with RSOTC.
Profanity, political opinions (other than those that directly pertain to one’s opinion on what impact a certain policy might have on the financial markets or a particular company/industry, religion or any other potentially inflammatory topic or commentary is not to be posted on this site. Trading room forum & comment section below the posts on RSOTC are not venues for off-topic commentary as there are plenty of forums elsewhere in the cybersphere for that.
Penny Stocks: While sharing of trading & investing ideas by subscribers is encouraged on RSTOC, due to the excessive risk, lack of liquidity and the potential for pump & dump schemes, the posting of penny stocks (stocks trading below $1.00 per share) is prohibited. A violation of this policy may result in a removal of the post while multiple violations may result in the temporary suspension or permanent revocation of the subscriber’s ability to post any comments, trade ideas, or other written content on the site, with or without prior warning.
Posting on RSOTC: The ability for subscribers to post comments, trade ideas, and other content as well as communicate with other subscribers on RSOTC is a privilege included with the Silver or Gold membership plans. Any suspension or revocation of the ability to post on RSOTC does not constitute a termination of the subscriber’s ability to access the premium content on the site & as such, a refund for the remaining term after the revocation of the ability to post on the site will not be provided.
Age Restrictions: You must be the minimum age required to enter into a contract in the area in which you reside, and, in any event, must not be less than 18 years of age.
