keep in mind that in addition to there not being many shares of FB available to short yet, as it just started trading on friday, because of the large percentage drop the short-sale restriction rule prevents anyone from shorting the stock until at least wednesday. therefore, how facebook trades over the next couple of days is reflective of 100% natural supply & demand (i.e.-natural buyers and seller, not short selling). of course a couple of days does not make a trend and i’d still like to see where FB is trading a couple of weeks from now. as i don’t have a position in FB or any desire to go long or short it, or any other newly traded IPO for that matter (no chart/price history to base the trade off of), my guess from a fundamental perspective is that FB will hit $15 sometime this year. again, no position so i can only lose “face” on this call, not money.
