How come no update on this TVIX trade? (Significant loss so far.) Today’s huge drop with S&P flat and VIX near flat nonsensical?

Randy TVIX dropped to to just below the buy level you had of 177.28, the low today of 176.78. Do you still feel the same and is your recommendation to add more at this level and as it moves up , knowing that the swings are so huge these days and the market is so strange acting? I have VIIX in my 401 self directed account and UVXY in a investment account.

@rsotc I have a question sinceI am new to trading VIX derivatives such as TVIX, UVXY, and VXX. It seems like some are more leveraged than others according to details yet the return does not seem to match exactly the leverage factor. Would you be able to take a moment to explain little bit more in depth in regards to this topic? Is this the reason why you chose TVIX with 2x leverage despite VIX in general being more volatile vehicle. Thank you!

@rsotc: some of us are in UVXY already. That is same play as TVIX, but not leveraged, right? We should be able to watch your targets for TVIX to help our exits for UVXY also?

In reply to becky. A lot of people don't have a margin account or options to short an instrument, so this is a long trade in the sense that it's buying an instrument, despite it typically running inverse with the broader markets.

In reply to TJS. Having tried to play the TVIX multiple times during this rally only to see it keep fizzling out during the bull rally, I am setting a limit for the 177 entry. It is crazy volatle and I will wait for the best entry based on Randy's TA guidance. If this plays out, I will definitely be looking close out positions at the T targets and reopen as the trade plays out heading to new price targets. As I recall, TVIX ran up above 900.00 on the way down in early March.
