An upgrade for Amazon seemed to drag all the FAAMGs up in a typically irritating passive way. Watching for whether this is a failed break out to run stop losses on shorts and keep everyone guessing.

Tesla was -12% including after hours trade as the call buying retail boat seemed fully loaded in to battery day which proved to be a damp squib.

Retail volume is ridiculous, they're all desperately BTFD every day.

Yep, /DX (Dollar futures) broke above the top of the recent trading range & slightly above the 93.862ish resistance level which was just above that (pretty much defining the top of a resistance zone with the previous highs from the range at the bottom of the zone). /DX is only marginally above that R zone but bullish until & unless the breakout fails & the higher it goes from here, the more likelyh the breakout is to stick (and bearish for gold & silver).
Regarding $VIX, the spot VIX was done today but VXX, whcih closed green, tracks short-term futures on $VIX. VIXM tracks mid-term futures on $VIX & it was up as well which seems to indicate that traders may be riding the recent bullish developments up long but skpetical (as I am) & as such, protecting their downside buying near-term & intermediate-term puts just in case this rally suddenly & swiftly fizzles out.
Still a very muted bounce in the put-to-call ratios since the correction in the stock market started.. again, a sign of complacency & general belief that the stock market is headed higher from here.
