<p>Agreed. I&#8217;ve been highlighting the financials frequently in recent videos, stating that as long as they hold up, the stock market will most likely as well. XLF hit &#038; successfully defending that confluence of support I recently highlighted (200-day SMA &#038; <abbr class='c2c-text-hover' title='An exponential moving average (EMA) is a type of moving average that is similar to a simple moving average, except that more weight is given to the latest data. This type of moving average reacts faster to recent price changes than a simple moving average. (source: investopedia.com)'>EMA</abbr> plus the 51.32 key price support. If/when that goes, the market will likely go with it. Until then, financials (#2 $SPX sector) continue to hold above key support &#038; exhibit relative strength as tech (#1 $SPX sector) wobbles.</p>

<p>I threw out CMSCA as a trade idea recently, but it just can&#8217;t seem to catch a bid to save its life lately. It did, however, break out above the <abbr class='c2c-text-hover' title='A downtrend occurs when a security or index is making a series of lower lows &amp; lower highs.'>downtrend</abbr> line yesterday, but best to see it clearly take out that R1 resistance level &#038; the top of the gap that&#8217;s just above it (and even better if the broad market is holding up at that time). Here&#8217;s my daily chart.</p>
