To the best of my knowledge, ZSL doesn’t trade around the clock (although possibly, as some brokers have recently rolled out overnight trading on many liquid stocks & ETFs… but prob not ZSL). Either way, the slight bounce in silver wasn’t even remotely close enough to violate even the tightest of stops relative to the profit targets I shared.

I would say that if last night’s slight bounce in silver was concerning to you, then you will not be happy with this trade, even if it pans out, as the volatility on silver is extreme lately & will most likely continue to be in the near future.

If silver rallies to the point ZSL is getting close to one’s stop, they need to be aware that the stop could be bypassed on a gap down in ZSL if silver futures make a big up move in the overnight session. No way around that other than to trade silver futures (in which a stop loss order can be set to be filled at anytime).

Pop in after hours on zsl. Can you tell us how you hold it over night. SI short or ZSL?

Too obvious to pass on IMO, at least for a starter short position, adding if & when technical evidence starts to indicate that a top is likely in. Such evidence might include bearish candlestick reversal patterns on the daily & weekly charts (or even just the 60m charts for another correction/pullback trade like we made back in Oct), as well as a break of the parabolic uptrend line in silver.

As with any trade, this one will either pan out or not, & it’s certainly not a “back the truck up/bet the farm” trade. It’s just too much of a textbook-looking blow-off top not to take a shot, at least for me, as the profit potential is quite large, especially considering how hard & fast securities tend to fall once parabolic uptrends end.
