Great question. All other things equal (as there are other variables, such as the posture of the Mag 8 stocks, tech sector, financials, etc..), I prefer to see both the futures (/NQ & /ES) and the index ETFs (SPY & QQQ) take out their comparable support or resistance levels before initiating or adding to short or long positions.

Randy, regarding the indexes, when the futures break a support line but the index is above ( or a substantial difference between the two) when do you enter the trade.

YW Mike & just to reiterate, at this time (2:45 pm ET), the R/R is now skewed to the long side on silver, whereas it was skewed to being short since we first entered the silver short trade on Monday & was still very much so last night when I posted what appeared to be (and proved to be) an imminently & likely breakdown with a big drop to follow.

Based on the previous initial drops (as covered in today’s earlier video), silver is right around the average of those initial swift drops that immediately followed those previous parabolic uptrend line breaks in recent decades. ~25%-40%)

Bit of a word salad there, so typos, I assume, but if I understand what you might be asking, then yes, the chart screenshot was taken after T2 was hit, as the screenshots sometimes are. Quite often, like today, I’m busying trading multiple positions across multiple accounts at multiple brokerages & get around to posting updates on trades at my earliest convenience.

As I often say: Have a trading plan (your own unique trading plan: i.e, what you’re going to buy, how much of it, & where you are going to sell it (price targets or stops). Then, best to use OCO or OCA orders set (GTC) at your price target(s) and stop loss, sit back & let the trade play out. NEVER rely on me to post when a price target or suggest stop is hit.
