Uh, oh, failed breakout?

yep. took a shot yesterday near the close. nice 13% pop. This has all the things that Randy teaches. Impulsive breakout, at 12:45pm already surpassed the 10day average volume, breaking a 2.5 year downward trendline. PPO looking good. RSI is only slightly overbought. Last time there was a downward trading zone that had a breakout was in 2018 with 174% gain in 19 trading days. Who knows if will will go that high again, this looks like a promising trade. I’ve added my targets in the first picture

yes, broke out on weekly chart at least on how I drew the TL. I added prior in anticipation as other in the sector already had. XOP got close to the uptrend line above T1, it looks like it could rally from here, oversold on 60 min charts……could the move be over??

Still leaning towards T2 but as I like to say, the charts are dynamic & so is my analysis so depending on what I see, I might book profits at T1 or maybe hold out for T3. Today should be telling: Do the dip buyers step in or will we get a solid red close today?… as that would be quite bearish as the lower the oil & gas stocks fall, the more stops that will be hit. Plus, a lack of dip-buying today would help support the case that the supply/demand dynamics have shifted, at least for now.
