I was being somewhat mechanical because we closed Friday below those key support levels on my /ES (5442) & /NQ (18500ish) 60-minute charts. However, as of this morning in the pre-market session, I covered & reversed back to long in my active trading acct as both of those levels have been regained.

While this morning's move back above those key support levels could very well prove to be a whipsaw, as of now we have a whipsaw, i.e.- potential bear-trap, with today's recovery back above those levels.

As, if not more importantly, we still have positive divergences on the 60-minute charts of both /ES & /NQ with NVDA (and SOXX) also still testing key uptrend line support.

With the Fed still ahead of us it is likely to tread water, chop around. Let's see. Market looking at an aggressive 50 bp cut. I doubt it.

@rsotc Hi Randy. Just a comment. I am bit puzzled on the rationale for going into the weekend with a light short. We basically closed at support after a decent down day. I would expect to either go long at support or flat. My guess is that you are seeing a change in the markets character since it was a straight down day today. In previous instances when you have shown averages and key stock hitting support you have advocated to either go long or wait for support break. It is just an observation. I am in cash on my trading account BTW. I appreciate your thorough market analysis. I have been a subscriber for multiple years. Have a great weekend.
