Yes, very similar to TLT as both track 20-30 Treasuries. EDV just uses STRIPS (zero-coupon Treasuries that only make a single interest pymt at maturity). TLT & EDV have positive divergence that could play out for another bounce off this long-term support on the 30-yr bond (same as the long-term/multi-decade resistance on the yield).

While I maintain a solid & sustained breakout in yields to the multi-decade highs they are flirting with can only be net bearish for the stock market, A pullback in Treasury yields can either bullish for stocks, if it's organic abatement in yields but a signficant drop in yeild can also be caused by a sharp drop in the stock market with a flight-to-safety bid from institutions (selling stocks & buying bonds for safety).

So a much higher rise is yeilds I struggle to see as anything but bearish for the stock market & economy, while a drop in yields & the effect on the market depends on the cause.

Actually, it fell off my radar last week, so I'm glad you bumped me. /NG or UNG offers an objective long entry (or partial/starter) here at support with positive divergences. I'd give it a little room on the stops to allow for a washout move, hence my preference for a soft partial vs. hard (full) entry here. 60m chart of UNG & 120m chart of /NG below. I'll post a home page update later today or tomorrow. Thx for the bump!

I don't have a good read on SHEL. The stock has been all over the place recently due to the volatility in oil & gas. It did just break below a short-term uptrend line off the July 1st low, but just not my kind of chart/setup, at least not this time.

Potential targets/support levels that I see, if you do/did short it, would be around 84.80 & then 82.91.

Hi Randy, If you get a chance can you look at EDV the longer term treasury ETF. I suspect there might be a nice positive divergence but i'm not sure
