If not by the end of this week, we should have some clarity on the next trend in the market by the end of next week as the remainder of the market-leading <abbr class='c2c-text-hover' title='An acronym for the 5 largest components of the Nasdaq 100 index: FB, APPL, AMZN, MSFT & GOOG(L)which collectively account for nearly 1/2 of the returns of that leading index.'>FAAMG</abbr> stocks will have reported.

On that potential bull flag on GLD, it is just that, a potential bullish continuation pattern awaiting a buy signal which, ideally, would be an impulsive breakout & solid green weekly closing candlestick above the pattern & with the flag already on the larger-side, the sooner the better.

Got it, I vaguely remember that post but don't recall the bull flag chart. So I either read through it too quickly or just forgot to mark up my charts last weekend. Hopefully we'll get some direction signals on the markets by the end of this week.

Agreed. In fact, I posted extensive analysis with several charts highlighting not only that potential bull flag in gold but also how, should GLD break out above the flag & rally, that the part of the catalyst for the rally is likely to come from a drop in the $US Dollar (and quite likely a correction and/or bear market in equities) on Oct 10th. Here's that post: https://rightsideofthechart.com/gold-us-dollar-euro-analysis/

/GC & GLD possible Bull Flags on HTF (W, D, 4HR) charts?
Randy, any thoughts on what looks to me like Bull Flags forming on GC and GLD, and if it plays out how it would be correlated with a drop in equities? I've attached screen shots from TOS of my W, D charts as well as Weekly chart on MSFT closing below Dec trend-line
