In reply to HermonMunster. Thx, typo corrected. I also initially checked the box to assign this post to the Short Setups category while it should have been a Long Setup. With the buy-trigger hit shortly after the post was published on Friday, VXX is now categorized as both an Active Long Trade as well as a Long Trade Setup (as it still offers an objective entry or add-on).

@rsotc just a heads up. There is a typo in the post. You forgot the n't in "Keep in mind that you CAN trade the $VIX (spot VIX) directly," I'm not a writing terrorist, but the omission could confuse people.

UVXY is basically the same as VXX, both tracking the short-term futures on the $VIX. Volume/liquidity is comparable with a slight edge going to VXX with a 90-day avg. volume of 28.6M shares vs. 23.2M avg. vol. on UVXY. Similar charts as well with UVXY recently breaking out above both of these downtrend lines (bullish falling wedge pattern).
