SOXX has been consolidating above the recently taken out downtrend line, capped (so far) by the 391ish resistance level & 200-day moving averages just above. I don’t have a strong opinion on which way it breaks (most likely, with the broad market) but can say that a solid break above 391 should be bullish & a solid break below the recent trading range (and downtrend line), bearish. Crude tends to have a bigger impact on the energy stocks than nat gas & crude is rallying on today’s breakout above that 15m bullish falling wedge I posted earlier & appears to be forming a potential bullish pennant continuation pattern right now. Basically, near-term might see some more upside & then quite likely another leg down but I’ll have to see what the charts look like going forward. Here’s my updated 15m chart of /CL.
