In reply to RonkoTonko.

Yes, the decay over time is god-awful on TVIX but over shorter time periods, such as the weeks or just a few months where those divergences formed, the same divergences show through on the $VIX. Also, keep in mind that you can trade the $VIX directly, only via proxies such as TVIX or $VIX futures, hence the price targets on TVIX.

Finally, I always look at the chart of $VIX when analyzing TVIX and I decided to post the setup since not only do they both have positive divergence on the daily time frame but they are both pushing up against downtrend line resistance as well (with a buy signal to come on a solid break above the downtrend **IF & WHEN** we also have decent sell signals on the equity market at the time. Here's my $VIX chart.

everyone knows i hate tvix, but next down move will be big imo (many handles, short duration, 100-125 handles). should pay handsomely, just a when, and getting when wrong hurts. worth a few shekels

Sure however it breaks that long term downtrend channel there is a good chance it could really run. Randy tis is not the 1st time they step in and drive it down right at the top of that channel. Been watching this a while now thanks for the heads up!! ^Tim Cook must be trading his stock again today!!

Not sure if you should use technical analysis on TVIX. Its a leveraged ETF with a constant time decay loss due to leverage & rolling futures. Better to do the analysis on the VIX itself and use this ETF only as a trading vehicle.
