XLE sell signal to come on a solid break below this uptrend line and/or any decent bearish candlestick reversal pattern. Solid arrows are my current preferred targets, with dotted arrow a potential target, depending on how the charts develop.

I covered gold, silver, & GDX in this video (above this comment thread). Literally said it was objective to go long the metals & miners because gold, silver, & GDX were all at support (my price targets). All 3 so the odds for a reaction off those supports yesterday were elevated. However, my guess is just a relatively fleeting bounce, then more downside to my next target(s) on the metals & miners. I checked- no inverse ETFs available

Other than the possibility of shorting a futures contract on a shipping index, I’m not aware of any inverse ETFs that specifically target any shipping indices & I doubt any exist (due to the fact that those aren’t very widely traded indices or stocks), although you might want to check.

I’ve never traded them, but did a quick Google search to see if there are futures on any shipping indices, & here’s what I got. Interactive Brokers (which I’m recently considering transferring my primary trading acct away from due to their recent horrendous changes to margin accts, including sudden & way too restrictive changes in house requirements) will let you open a margin IRA (I have several) in which you can short futures contracts:

Best of luck with those trades & watch the recent highs on the $USD index, as a solid breakout above it would be “net” bearish for the metals & miners. Not a guaranteed down for gold, but a rising Dollar is generally a headwind for it.
