Mining is simply extracting something from the earth. Lithium is not the same as gold and/or silver… completely different metal extracted from different places with different supply & demand dynamics. Here’s a chart of GDX vs. LIT showing they’ve almost had an inverse correlation over the past few years. One can (and often does) go up while the other is going down & vice versa but basically, I don’t assign nor trade any correlation between the two.
