Small cap stocks have been lagging for years. Maybe time for a catchup.
IWM has been in a range of 160-196 since April 2022.
Just broke out today (around 198) Could be a buy signal.
Small caps are at about 13-14 times earnings compared to large caps at 20+ and the Mag 7 thru the roof.
Small caps might be the best play in the house now. IMO.
January is historically a great month for small caps.
Be aware…Presidential cycle turs bearish for a while near the end of January in the election year.

QQQ new all time high.
Even the crappy Dow is at an all time high.

The market has been up because the market makers have been anticipating dovish tilt (i.e. a pivot) – in other words, rate cute early next year. Fed chair kind of delivered that message today (without saying those specific words). Here we are listing to Randy’s short analysis. Yes, we are overbought in short term but we are moving higher. Also, Fed/Treasury is front-loading this market before the election, therefore, more upside. This comment is not meant to preach to anyone as I’m in deep red this year.

Randy’s analysis was spot on last year but he has been wrong side of the chart this year. This is not meant to be a snarky comment. This market is different this year and maybe 2024.
