That just means I have a pretty heavy/aggressive short position in equities (via futures, stocks, ETFs & $VIX long), close to as much as I plan to ride down my current preferred swing target range around 385-395/200-day MA's. Still some dry powder in case I want to go even more aggressively short or come across some other opportunities, be they more equities to short (or possibly go long, if something stands out)...or maybe take some indirect hedges (e.g.- crude short, Treasuries long, etc..) as well as other asset classes (commodities, crypto, maybe forex, etc..)

Basically, I'm seeing technical (charts) evidence continue to build the case for likely & imminent double-digit drop in the stock market & have seen a few more boxes checked this week (i.e.- key sectors or stocks breaking down, trend indicators flipping, Treasuries moving deeper into my orange zone, etc...)

In reply to <a href="https://rightsideofthechart.com/swing-trade-ideas-more-4-10-24/#comment-31528">yahoo</a>.

I really don't like when people ask that as it suspect they might load up on a single position. With that being said and keeping in mind that these 'favorite' trades, as shorts, are contingent on getting the remaining sell signals on the top SPX sectors & FKA Mag 7 stocks I'm looking for (yellow support levels), some of the trade ideas with above-average return potential are EATZ (restaurant sector ETF), PEJ (Leisure & Entertainment), IAI (broker-dealers ETF), IWM (small-cap ETF), QQQ (Nasdaq 100 ETF), $VIX futures or ETNs (although LONG, as that is essentially a short bet on the stock market).

Those are some that come to mind right away & if I can think of anymore I'll follow up in a reply to this post. Sector & index ETFs are a "safer" (for lack of a better word) way to short due to their diversification but you generally get more bang for you buck shorting (or going long, when bullish) the most bearish (bullish) individual stocks within the most bearish (or bullish) sectors. SMCI & CVNA are two recently highlighted short trades that I have swing positions on & plan to add to if/when QQQ takes out 433 and/or I get some of the other additional sell signals that I'm watching for (roughly 60 & 70% profit potential from here on those two, if my preferred swing targets are hit).
