My point is, there weren’t flat-earthers. The idea that people thought the earth was flat is a myth created by the author Washington Irving in the 19th century.

Thx for the history lesson (although didn’t read the article yet) nor did I say that he set out to prove the world was flat. If I recall correctly, he was looking for a shorter route over the existing “spice route” to & from India, hence the name “West Indies” when he landed in the Caribbean (as he thought he’d landed in India). I just recall his voyages to the new world were a kick in the nuts to all the flat earthers at the time. Maybe my fuzzy facts are wrong, just trying to give an example of a relatively sudden shift in conventional wisdom or belief among the masses.

Yeah, I looked at SNAP after I head about their post-earnings ass whoppin’ in the AH session.First thing that stood out to me right when I pulled the chart is that is one that I would have passed on because it did not have positive divergence on the daily chart like most other big tech & other market-leaders put in recently. SNAP has an old gap from early 2019 & a major reaction low that tested that gap from above at the COVID lows. Not sure it will get there in the coming weeks or months (although probably so) but if it does, I might be a buyer then, depending on what the charts of SNAP & the rest of the market looks like at the time. Toxic stock for now, IMO, so standing aside.
