JACK is another of the type of longs I been comfortable with taking and posting here lately... beat down, well-know/established brands with constructive charts for bottoming plays/bear market rallies.

JACK coming up on my first target now (intersecting downtrend line & 22ish resistance) so a likely reaction there with objective long entries on either a half-decent pullback off that resistance and/or a solid breakout above it, ideally after a pullback or some consolidation first. Daily chart below. Thx for pointing these two out.

Nice divergent low on DNUT followed by a breakout above the downtrend line & impulsively buying since. Wish I would have seen it pre-breakout as DNUT is not coming up on the first of 4 price targets I'd give the stock so maybe if we get a decent reaction/pullback off this first target it's coming up on now it might provide an objective entry. Yes, it's hard to make a very objective case to initiate or add to a $VIX position at this time other than a speculative bet that the S&P 500 has or likely will very soon have peaked & will start to move substantially lower.

Best to wait for at least half-decent or better evidence of a sell signal or potential trend reversal, such as a bearish candlestick pattern and/or a solid drop back down below the Feb highs to signal a failed breakout.

Any speculative position on the $VIX established here should only be a partial/fractional position, IMO, adding to that position if & as the case to short the market starts to firm up.
