It&#039;s hard to say but my primary outlook is the contrary, or at least regarding short-term rates. I believe that the Fed will continue to back peddle away from their previous pledge to keep rates near zero thru &quot;&lt;em&gt;&lt;u&gt;at least&lt;/u&gt;&lt;/em&gt; 2023&quot; &#038; will end up raising short-term rates before then. I also expect relative weakness in the long-end of the curve (L/T Treasuries) which will create a flattening of the yield curve. A widening yield curve is bullish for banks as it increases their spread, i.e. the difference between what they pay out depositors on checking &#038; savings accounts &#038; what they turn around &#038; lend money out in the form of loans. Therefore, my expectation going forward is a flattening yield curve which should be net-bearish for banks.]]></description>
