Looks like the same chart you posted the other day. I think you missed my reply which can be viewed here (no opinion/read on that chart): https://rightsideofthechart.com/trade-ideas-on-the-precious-metals-mining-stocks-6-27-25/#comment-36310

In reply to <a href="https://rightsideofthechart.com/swing-trade-ideas-7-1-25/#comment-36331">Mikeflegel</a>.

In general, there is a holiday effect. However stocks tend to rise before and shortly after a holiday.

Poor employment numbers today. -30k jobs instead of 100k increase. Also tomorrow there is unemployment numbers. if those numbers are bad, there could be a quick drop during the 1/2 trading day. However the market could welcome bad news in the hopes of getting a larger rate cut.

I'm planning to close all short term positions heading into the weekend. This will help me relax and enjoy the long weekend.

The good thing is that when the trend changes, there will be time to get in and make good profits. I've been over aggressive lately trying to predict when the drop will come. Hasn't worked out.

Just considering the weekend risk and your holiday analysis wouldn't we sell down into Wednesday and Thursday all other things equal. Then Monday if nothing is blown up over the weekend will trade up. Seems like that's what usually happens.
