PS. You used to provide good trades resulting in trending moves. Gold has been one such trade, really easy money. You may be able to offer trades when you see them. I am watching USD (EURUSD), /CL for a reversal.Grains should start trending but they have not: too many index short-only funds sell small pops and bury the price back down.

Indexes are not a good option for trending this year: they refuse to go down further, and do not go back up. I have not had much luck with them this year.

Correct. In the last couple of (video) updates on the VIXY, I highlighted my "re-entry" or scale-back-in zone which runs from this week's low VIXY down to but not below the 52.70ish level.

The top of that scale-in zone coincides with the bottom of my bounce target/scale-back-in-short zone for QQQ that I've also covered in recent videos. Here's that daily chart with the zone in purple (as well as the previous re-entry zone after T1 was hit).

Not an ideal form for a H&S on that daily of UNG, IMO, and more so, H&S patterns are topping patterns. Well not exactly "still on" a buy signal. I recently highlighted the objective long entry on Treasuries (10 & 30 yr) when they fell to support & had the positive divergence on the intraday chart. That bounce was gamed & could have more to go when I look at the charts but my preference on Treasuries, due to all the headline risk lately, is to get in & get out quickly, mainly targeting relatively small & quick profits... a lot like what I've been doing this week with the /NQ & /RTY (index futures), mostly mean-reversion type trades (selling rallies into resistance & buying the bigger dips into support).

I closed out that short on /ZB I mentioned taking in the video today right about where it is still trading now (114'120). With the 3-day weekend coming up, I'm doing my usual thing of lightening up on exposure, even more so with the 3-day weekend & near-term obscurity of the charts.

My preference is to wait & see how Treasuries trade next week before taking another position, long or short.

Congrats on your gold trade but criticizing someone for not milking profits from a trend in any one particular security is just plain silly. Have you ever heard of a fund manager or well-known investor like Warren Buffett that caught ever security that had a nice rally/trend all the time?

Again, glad you have stuck with the trend in gold but I'm having very good year by swinging the shorter term trends within the longer-term trends of the metals (mainly silver & GDX), both long & short... plus many, many other securities (stocks, bonds, commodities, crypto, etc...)

Sure. Daily & 60-minute charts (with notes) attached. Not crazy about the breakout & backtest of that lower TL on 60m chart although the divergences that we in place at the short entry are still very much intact & even larger now as /HG approached interesting price & trendline resistance, thereby offering another objective short entry or add-on.

I am watching it like a hawk, and ready to cut a position on any further weakness in order to buy lower. 3295 is my line in the sand. However, 3500 is the next target. 4000 is a target for the rest of the year.

Would be nice to spark the rally with a blowout guidance from NFLX then a "not so bad as we thought" quarter and guidance from TSLA. Just feel as though its too easy and everyone and their mother are in puts/shorts now. Doesn't look like a Xi/Trump phone call or meeting will happen anytime in the near future.
