On March 1, when Nvidia was at 800..... I said Nvidia 1000 in a couple weeks or sometime this month.
Maybe tomorrow (Friday) or next week at the latest.
That'll be 25% in a week or maybe a week and a half.

Shoot! I didn't know that was possible. Please send me that link or some info where I can also go back 3 months & buy NVDA with a guarantee it is going to go up 100%. Unfortunately, my broker doesn't allow my to back date my trades 3 months...lol

In all seriousness, take or pass on any trade here that you like or don't like but:

A) Regarding swing trades, we came into the year short QQQ right off the highs in Dec, covered & reversed it (and AAPL) from short to long right at the lows & now we have a partial/starter swing short on QQQ that is down a whopping 3% from the average of the two main entry points (60-minute minor & then major/Oct lows trendline) and again, that has been made very clear to only be a fraction/starter position with full position add-on still pending so 3% down on a partial position.

B) Any draw down on the current QQQ (or IWM) swing short grossly pales in comparison to the gains, many well into the double-digits on all of the other swing trade ideas posted so far this year including natural gas, silver & the miners, IEP, CARA, CVNA, and yes, even NVDA if you took the pre-earnings swing short & then closed it out on the short-to-long reversal trade the afternoon it reported.

I continually preach the benefits of diversifying in swing trading (taking different trades in different assets classes with uncorrelated securities). Again, the gains on those trades dwarf the few losers & as of now, QQQ is not a loser or at least a failed trade (that happens when a trade is closed/stopped out for a loss, just as a profitable position isn't a winning trade until closed out for a profit IMO).

FOMO will blind some traders/investors. If I don't see an objective long entry on NVDA, or any stock, at the time, I will either wait patiently for an objective entry (maybe a pullback to support or a bullish continuation/consolidation pattern breakout) or I will wait for an objective short entry. Stop worrying about NVDA or it the FOMO will consume you or buy it with a stop that you are comfortable with if you think it has more to run.

NIKL chart starting to look constructive but from the looks of it, I could easily see another thrust down before bottoming. Plus, I'd prefer to see a well-defined trendline or price resistance level in which to watch for an impulsive breakout/objective long entry.

Again, doesn't look bad & could run without all that but for now, I'd rather watch. Plus, I don't get a list of the components on my charting platform like I usually do when I type in an ETF. Therefore, I'd need to go to the ETFs site & get a list of the holdings & see some bullish/constructive charts on at least the majority of the top holdings. Thx for passing it along & feel free to bump me on it again soon if I don't follow up again.

NVDA is on it way to 3 trillion market cap. 2 stocks will carry the index while others do minor correction, then they'll switch so index just keeps going up.

Waiting for trendline breaks to short has lead to losses last 15 months since there's always a bounce at that point.

It seems like a valid question. Why would we be trying for 15% here?Fifteen percent there in a two week period when we could get a hundred percent in invidia in the last three months.
