I looked at all the confectioners yesterday when I took the starter short on /CC cocoa. Can’t make a strong case to go short or long any of them but one would think the surging cocoa prices are or will have an impact on their bottom line, via input cost increases and/or demand destruction, should they try to pass those costs along to consumers.

randy just looks at charts and not any underlying reasons for moves. that’s why he’s been solidly wrong for last 16 months.

If you want timely analysis on Nat Gas/Crude, go to Irontrader.Wallstreet on youtube. Great guy who gives three videos per day (8am, noonish and end of day) and one on the weekend. UNG should only be used for daily trades or at most a few days. Avoid the roll over time frames at the end of each month, you’ll get crushed. For example, nat gas rolled into the May contract, went from $1.65 (April) to $1.81 (May), and UNG did nothing. It stayed right where it was. That’s a prime example of “decay”. Stay away from WEAT too. Same scenario for most of these “retail robbers” ETF’s. Not sure why Randy doesn’t address this more in detail, as I’m sure most of his subscribers are retailers.
