Sorry for not posting this earlier, but CALM is one of the purer plays in the egg market. I made a killing a few years back on some puts when the bird flu got out of hand. Long story short, divergent high strikes again. I didn’t play this because my alerts were set just a smidgen too high.

However, the reason I’m posting is to give you a stock to play during the next bird flu out break and to highlight a “Randy-ism,” The news doesn’t matter, the charts will tell you what’s up. Obviously these egg prices can’t last forever. In addition, a company just received initial approval for a bird flu vaccine. Zoetis ZTS. They just reported earnings and got butts kicked. This news should drive a nice pop on Tuesday.

Do you think it was a coincidence that on the day Zoetis announced the vaccine approval, CALM fell 12.43%? Or that the news was beat by the divergent high 2 days earlier?

I’m an engineer by trade. It’s hard to not have a news based cause for stock moves. It’s taken years, but I’m finally starting to realize that the “news” is the charts. Stop rejecting what the market is telling you.
