The way the pros do it is they might be short some stocks or indexes, but for every short they have on, they also have an opposing long. Typically, the weak stocks are the ones shorted, and the strong ones they’re long. If you want to be short an index, short IWM, but have an equal size position long QQQ, or one of the other indexes that are currently showing better strength.

Technical analysis is this….
The indexes will continue to go up.
Has nothing to do with the bottom 490 crap stocks, but because of the Mag 7, or 8, or 9,or 10.
They are growing by hundreds of billions of dollars a day.
Only a black swan can stop them, and technical analysis can’t figure that in to their calculations.
The market cap of all the stocks in the Russell 2000 is about $6 trillion.
The market cap of the Mag 7 is over $13 trillion and growing faster..

3:30 pm PST and META IS UP 15% in after hours!!! Did anyone saddle up on that rocket ship before it left the station today! I think even the Bulls have to be getting a little shaky on this market! Anyway of finding out how much Middle East money has been scared into our markets since the October 7 attack on Israel … and for perspective, we lost just over 2800 people on 911, per capita they lost over 6000 that day … an unbelievable, devastating loss of life.
