Just to piggyback, the futures on grains can make a lot of money (if you are right) .

/ZW wheat futures bounced off of a trendline to the 50 simple moving average. This is a typical move, very easily identifiable.

The move was 3.16%. Not a bad gain for 3 days of patience. However, because futures are leveraged, that move = 43.7% gain.

I agree. I often have different price targets on nat gas futures vs UNG since the futures basically trade around the clock & hence, have many more (and different) reaction points/pivots.

I posted a couple of charts of /NG (Nov & Dec contracts) in this comment thread in reply to @michael, which you can view by scrolling up.

I don't have an opinion or good read on the near-term direction of Bitcoin other than it is likely to hold up until & unless the stock market starts taking out some key support & the margin-call selling starts to kick in.

Here's my daily chart of IBIT (Bitcoin ETF) with the key support levels being that green line, the white uptrend line & 200-MA's. Coin toss odds on whether or not it punches out to a new high soon but if so, any marginal new high will extend the negative divergences that were in place at the most recent high (i.e.- any breakout to new highs soon is likely to fail).

In reply to michael.

I recently rolled to the Nov (NGX25) contract & posted that chart on Tuesday but I've included it below with the updated chart. That 3.555 target I posted on Tues was hit today (along with UNG T1), followed by the typical reaction, so far & the next buy signal to come on a solid break above it. I've also included a couple of objective re-entry/support levels (uptrend line & 3.30ish price), for those that booked profits at those UNG & /NG targets today.

I'll try to mark up a chart of NGZ25 asap.

I've made a lot of money trading the various grains over the years & the larger trends are often as big, or bigger, in percentage terms, than the rallies/bull markets & corrections/bear markets, than the stock indices. They also trade well to the technicals for shorter-term swing trades as well.

That's generally (but not always) true (50bp cuts generally come during times of financial stress or cracks in the market). Last year, they started with 50 & it had the opposite of the intended effect on borrowing costs (mid & long-term rates).
I don’t really understand why anyone would trade grains. If you want to buy for diversification that’s fine but this is not a trading instrument. Money for trading is better spent elsewhere. You’ll make any hypothetical profits in the grains many times over trading anything else. It’s not like folks will hold a 300% profit anyways, you’ll be out long before then as a trader.
