In reply to KevinK. Why fight the trend? SPY, QQQ, and DIA are all just now moving above their previous all time highs after a two-year consolidation. From a long term perspective, this is just the beginning of a new leg up in the secular bull market. Stay long above the previous all time highs, which should now be support. Extremely good risk:reward for long term longs.

S&P, QQQ, Dow, QQQE, VTI all at new highs.
Nasdaq and RSP within a whisker of new highs and will be there this week when the megacap stocks blow away low bar set by earnings analysts.
S&P and Nasdaq well over their 40 week moving average…a long term bullish signal since they crossed over it last March.
The stock market continuously keep makes marginal new highs….what’s new.
IF JP surprises and announces a rate cut because everything is so rosy with inflation and the economy, we will have a 10% up day Wednesday. Even if he doesn’t, we’ll be up by 10% by the time he does.

It’s a shame that the Treasury’s QRA announcements aren’t listed on economic calendars, especially after the last two QRA’s drove the direction and the magnitude of that direction in stocks and bonds for the following three months of each announcement. Anyone not aware of today’s 3pmET announcement could have easily gotten run over. Today was just the first part of the QRA. Wednesday is the second part. Expect more fireworks, and with Yellen at the helm during this presidential election year, expect the fireworks to be to the upside.

Since Nasdaq is so close to ATHs, I think there will be a new ATH which can draw in a lot of new money into the market before the leg down IMO.
