If I could offer a bit of unsolicited advice: Don't let the trading bug consume you to the point of losing sleep at night. I would set phone to DND mode & silence any price alerts as you will start to screw up your sleep hygiene watching charts & waking up to alerts during the middle of the night.

One reason I prefer trading stock index futures over ETFs is the ability to have GTC orders set that can & will be filled overnight if my price target on long or short trades are hit. Likewise, I can also set buy (or sell) stop order to that trigger to enter a trade if a breakout occurs.

OCO (one-cancels-the-other) order are the bomb for trading. Simple set an order to close the position at your price target along with an order to also close it if you stop is hit and whichever triggers first will cancel the other one.

Not only does that let you book profits if you price target is hit during off hours, but it also provides that discipline which is often the Achilles heel for so many traders that try to use metal stops & don't stick with their trading plan. Set it & forget it.

Yes but UPS hit the final price target where we closed it out (and immediately reversed/dropped 16% from there so a text-book entry & exit on that one) back on Oct 24th. That trade can be viewed by clicking this link:
