In reply to <a href="https://rightsideofthechart.com/swing-trade-ideas-1-11-23/#comment-25889">Imadaytr8r</a>.

Always beta-adjust your position so the total amount is commensurate to the volatility of the security you're trading. Nat gas & crypto are about as volatile as they come so trades in those should be a fraction of what you might put in something like SPY or a blue chip stock.

Nat gas is still trading at the long-term support zone (from my $NATGAS daily & weekly charts) with divergence still intact on the RSI but not the PPO so pushing it here. Ideally, it should hold above today's lows & even better, a hard reversal into the close.

Keep in mind that seasoned traders tend to average UP on a (winning) position not the other way around. Typically, I will only average down on a position if that was my initial plan, e.g.- I take a starter position, maybe at the top of a support zone, with plans to continue scaling in down to but not below the bottom of the zone. Quite often, I will also scale out of a losing position by setting staggered stop-loss orders vs. an all-or-none single stop, as is my plan for nat gas (with my first stop below today's low).

Hey Randy, is it possible to project at what price does Nat Gas burn through the positive divergence? It kind of looks like it’s getting close to multiple year lows!!! I’m out of funds to continue to average down unless I go all in with my HELOC! … also, is there any chance that BOIL could suddenly blow up and I lose everything?
