The yeild on the 3 month T-bill is not some arbitrary number set by the federal reserve. It is the most liquid market in the world and a small movement in the rate takes billions of dollars. Those dollars represent some of the most savy investors in the world. It has always served as a warning of some of the most spectacular financial events in history. It has dropped and paused and dropped in the past year without anyone understanding what it is telling us. But whatever it is, it is something terrible.
