I hope most stayed out of the market over the weekend or at least guessed correctly.

I was pretty sure that there would be deal because so many businesses were on the verge of stopping production or laying people off.

I was too scared to take a position because the talks could have blown up.

Please remember that boats from China take 6-8 weeks to arrive. So this rally may be brief.

In reply to @GEOTRDR. I was with you, but I see we were on the wrong side of the chart. That hurt, so the lesson learned was I didn't manage my position size correctly and now I need to decide if the market will continue to move north or whipsaw and come back down to shake out as many as possible.

In reply to stockninja. Supposedly there is a deal with China. Details yet to be released. I think if the tariff is under 50% the market will soar. Futures are already up 1.35% There should be a nice relief rally. SPY will open above the 200ma which is technically bullish. Soon people will understand the damage that was done by the tariffs.

In reply to Gambler. 501.25 is our 3 year low. I think we'd bounce there. There's basically a divergent low now. If we break through that, the next strong resistance is 443 which was last touched in 2019. I'll probably be buying some WEAT this week

I’m gaining more and more confidence of the market heading back down to test the previous lows as its getting more and more clear Trump is trying his best to keep this market afloat with tweets. Using the words “total reset” looks like he’s trying to use words to trigger algos to spark a rally. If futures open sharply lower then I will feel like the run is over. If futures spike higher, I think its a great opportunity to add my final puts for the longer term. Trusting in the charts but also trying to see if gut feeling comes into play. GC turning cycle date 20th may… shorting if we get a ramp up into that date plus minus 2 days… just like randy mentioned, rsi divergence would be gem…

In reply to @GEOTRDR. Unless China "pulls out of Switzerland talks due to ignorance of US officials". Then that should gap down the market on Monday. But then the POTUS will tweet shortly thereafter that "talks when very well!". Can't trade off news events because his tweets today about reducing China's tariff rates and having many deals in the hopper should have skyrocketed the market so I think people are just tired of his games and trying to keep this market up with tweets about tariffs. Anyway, good luck to everyone as I think something may happen on weekend to catch many off guard come Monday. Who knows!?!?
