ARKK sell signal to come on a solid break and/or daily close below this extended uptrend line. However, the ETF did put in a bearish engulfing candlestick on Monday & remains below so I don’t think you jumped the gun. However, best to wait for a solid break below that uptrend line before going to heavy, IMO. Daily chart below.

I’d only consider using UVXY as a proxy for trading the $VIX when I have the utmost degree of confidence that the $VIX about to be, or already in, rally mode, along with a very high degree of confidence & clear sell signal on the stock market.

The reason can be found in RESOURCES> FAQ> ETF Related Questions>Is there a disadvantage to holding a leveraged ETF for an extended period of time. The leverage, coupled with the fact that the $VIX is about the most volatile security out there, makes VIXY (non-leveraged version of UVXY) a better choice in most instances, IMO.

With that being said, barring any surprise economic reports or news events, the stock market is likely to grind around until the rest of the big tech stocks (AMZN, AAPL, META) report next week.

From a technical (chart) perspective, the $VIX still looks like SPY & QQQ upside down; positive divergences continue to build with $VIX falling to the 14.63ish support today. Just need the stock market to start moving lower.
