Longer-term yes but my degree of confidence in the very near-term direction is still not very high due to the mixed bag of technicals. However, there are some technical levels & development that I've posted recently that will strengthen the near-term (and longer-term) bearish case if broken.

Still keeping things light for now & very diversified on my position/trend accounts as well as my active trading account (both long & short select equities & sectors based on their unique outlook, ditto for various commodities, precious metals, bonds, etc..) Still a trader's market as it has been for the last few months.

I still like it & view this pullback, especially with both /ZN & /ZB at support & still well above the 60m downtrend lines/breakout levels, as objective levels to initiate or add-to a position in TLT, /ZB, etc..

Ditto goes for an indirect hedge to stock index shorts via long Treasuries as stocks will most likely face headwinds if rates continue to rise from here, especially if Treasuries take out the recent lows.

Great question: Yes & no.

Yes; especially if/when the charts are what I call "stacked", which is a term I made up for when I see a potential domino effect where the charts are setting up in clearly bullish or bearish technical patterns on multiple time frames.

For example, if the weekly, daily, & 60-minute time frames on a stock, sector, index, etc.. are all clearly setting up in bullish chart patterns or other technical, then a breakout on the shortest time frame (60m in this example) has the potential to spark a rally that, assuming the chart pattern plays out to it's measure target, would then trigger a breakout on the more significant daily and/or weekly charts, that would then, in turn, be the catalyst for a much larger & longer rally vs. the measured target on the 60-minute chart.

No: More often, a bullish or bearish chart pattern/trade taken off a shorter-term intraday chart only indicates the trade is likely to play out for a move commensurate to that scope of the pattern & its measure target (i.e.- a breakout above a 5-minute bullish falling wedge pattern is typically good for a rally measured in just hours or days, probably providing single-digit percentage gains). If a 5-minute bullish falling wedge breakout results in a 5% rally that runs smack into downtrend line resistance on the more significant 60-min or daily chart, then that's where the counter-trend bounce is likely to end, followed by a resumption of the larger downtrend.

Hi Randy,
Are there any predictions or guidance between the different time frames of the chart? For example, does the 5-minute chart have any prediction ability for the 1-hour chart, and vice versa? Does the 1-hour chart guide the movement of the 5-minute chart?
Thanks,
Dan

Hard to say but what I can say is that it's already been said:

"....Board likely to raise short-term rates to 0.5% from 0.25%” ...which means if it's already expected, it's most likely already priced in.
