Absolutely there is potential for the $VIX (and VXX) to blast right on past T3. Best way to get an idea of how far VXX could go, and keep in mind that it does NOT directly track the $VIX (spot VIX), rather near-term futures contracts on the VIX (which can go up more or less than the spot VIX) would be to go back & measure the rallies in both $VIX & VXX that occurred during previous corrections & bear markets. Also, keep in mind that all the spikes in the $VIX that happened over the past 13 or so years were simply from corrections within an ongoing bull market. As such, if we are in the early stages of a bear market, especially with a big melt-down type drop coming soon, then the $VIX could explode to the upside.

Just don't put too much in those $VIX tracking ETFs & especially the ETNs as they can blow up or grossly under-track the spot $VIX during periods of extreme volatility. The "pure play" for trading the $VIX is to trade VIX futures (ideal) or options on those futures. Some of the VIX tracking ETNs blew up during a big spike in the VIX a few years back.

Got into vxx and been targeting exit at your T3 point of 30.79.

With all that's going on- think that could run hotter?

If I see any compelling buying opps on gold, silver, and/or the miners I'll do my best to point them out right away or in advance, if possible. Otherwise, the trend is bullish so buying the dips, ideally pullbacks to support seems logical.

Also, note that during periods of very strong stock market selloffs, especially during meltdowns/crashes, the miners can get come under selling pressure even if gold is rising as they are equities. As such, my preference is to be diversified with both the metals (gold & silver) and the miners.

I'm thinking of investing into gold/silver mining stocks/etfs. Any objective next buy signals or just buy the dips for now?

Not sure how that would be structured. I just like to share what I see & what I'm doing at the time, sharing lessons, tips, & tricks that I've learned along the way.
