Agree, those divergences are quite large &amp; could lead to a much deeper correction. We&#039;ll see how the charts develop but one factor to consider is the bullish divergences that were much larger in magnitude that formed during the 2.5 yr basing pattern in the EUR/USD. Those very large divergences, coupled with the fact that the EUR/USD only relatively recently (July &#039;17) broke out &amp; made a near-backtest of that base could have much longer bullish implications for the pair. So far, the EUR/USD stopped right at the extension of the lower trendline that I&#039;ve had on that weekly chart for years so yes, could be a lot more upside for the dollar &amp; downside for gold so something worth monitoring.
