That is good you got out of the Amazon option trade. Option trades are too risky, unless you are using them to hedge a stock position.

I learned some new things from this about the inner workings of the market. The great “2020 call options bubble” thanks to reddit’s wallstreetbets and robbinhoodies. I guess this is bullish for the VIX as the imbalance will correct itself and maybe overshoot the other extreme? It also could explain why the VIX is still so low when the market is correcting. I sold my 30% out of the money puts on Amazon two days ago and about broke even. They expire in Oct. Someone was willing to bet big money that amazon will fall that much in a few weeks. I’m happy to get out of that trade.
