Just to clarify, are you looking for high or low volume when spotting buying and selling climaxes? Thanks :)

Volume has been quirky recently & even in recent years, I haven’t found it to be as useful in confirming breakouts & rallies as it used to be. Maybe that’s due to the fact that the vast majority of volume nowadays is from HFT, which is not natural buying, just millisecond in & out trades jumping in front of the orders flows. Either way, one other thing to consider is that the volume during selloffs is usually higher than the volume on the rallies so take that into consideration before dismissing an advance on what seems like relatively low volume as a lot of rallies have started out that way. Finally, I find volume most useful in helping to spot potential buying & selling climaxes, even on the intraday time frames, especially when those potential buy or sell climaxes come around the time the indexes fall or rally to support or resistance and/or are confirmed with other bullish or bearish technicals.

Can I get anyone to either confirm or refute my analysis?
