Powell at his core lacks conviction. He is commonly referred to Wobbly by market participants. He sways the way the markets would like him to sway. He actually used the word disinflation 13 times. And when asked about whether he is concerned about the substantial easing in financial conditions, he wobbled.

GLD cracking below the uptrend line on the daily chart today so watch for a solid close below & as well as downside follow-thru as the further we get below that trendline, the more likely the breakdown will stick. The US Dollar also still appears poised for a trend reversal/rally which, if so, will most likely provide a headwind for gold in the coming weeks+.

GE getting a bit stretched (overbought) on the daily chart while coming up on a solid long-term resistance zone (weekly chart) with a tradable reaction off the initial tag likely. That zone comes in around 2.5% – 8% above today’s high.
