Hi HJ,

I almost exclusively trade using options, and they are not for the inexperienced. Buying or selling put/calls requires substantial knowledge of market dynamics (Vix, Market maker positioning) as those factors can make it difficult to maximize gains. You could be right in the direction of your trade and still lose money on options trades. If you think shorting stocks or ETFs is risky, buying puts is even riskier. If you want some more info and general help with options, I would be happy to guide you. But please do some research to fully understand the risks involved with options.

while now its certain , major recession is around the block, in 3-6 months or years ... Please give us ideas how to make substantial gains or protect assets on the downside.. Indexes, BTC, commodities, Real estate or bonds ? , Futures looks like very risky for margin calls , Shorting stocks or ETFs looks risky as well , How about buying PUTs ?
For all of the reasons you always list I want to trade futures and have day traded them for 10 years or more now... but have never held for swing trades. So trying to get specific with how You set up and trade these swings. The NQ notional value is too great. MNQ for my acct is 3-4 MNQ before i am actually using leverage. so thinking about swing trading up to 4 contracts max positions. so with your NQ trade lets say you are 25% (1 MNQ contract) allocated.. where is your stop right now. 200 points down? under 11068.75? 500 point down? Attached it a Hypo entry just at the close Friday.. 1:2 RR trade set up.
